As we look forward to finishing 2011 strong, let’s get ready for a great start for 2012!
Back in 2009, I planted in my psyche this idea of finishing strong and starting the new year with power and passion. I have kept this mindset since. With 2011 coming to a brilliant end, I am continuing the challenge to set goals that would have me blasting into the new year energized, motivated, committed, and stronger than ever!
And…
I highly recommend that you think about doing the same for yourself. If you haven’t done so yet, decide NOW to make 2012 the best year ever by taking ACTION now.
Over the next several posts, I will put together a goal setting template for your 2012 personal “best year” plan. If you follow it carefully, you’ll be positioning yourself to move beyond a simple wish list of resolutions to your personal best year yet.
The template is really based on the following premise: Ask Questions and Get Answers. You are going to ask yourself some key questions, and you are going to give yourself the answers based on your own personal self-reflection.
Here’s Question 1: What Did I Accomplish This Year?
“Victory is won not in miles but in inches. Win a little now, hold your ground, and later, win a little more.”Take some time to answer this question, “What did I accomplish in 2011?”. Write down at least 20 accomplishments, in all areas of your life: Personally, professionally, physically, academically, relationally, etc.
